The history of hafla

Hafla is the Arabic word for "party". A Hafla is an event where dancers and dance students dance for each other, their friends, family and an audience of appreciative, awe-inspired folks! A hafla can be large, or intimate, is always festive and usually features open dancing where everyone can get up and shimmy! A Henna Party (in the arabic world) is an all ladies dress up party whereby a young girl is initiated officially into womanhood just as she is about to be wedded in the coming days. The young lady receives gifts as she is welcomed into her newly initiated maturity. There is live music, food and dancing and occasional belly dancing for entertainment.

Belly Dancing at your Hafla or Henna Party

BOOKINGS are available at our local studios for your Hafla or Henna Party celebration or we can come to your designated address. Should you be lacking a powerful sound system at the party (for an additional cost) we can bring at your request a very powerful portable boomblaster system which has very strong decibell volume capacity. Princess Jasmina's solo performances cater for live floorshows at big receptions, coorporate functions, celebrations and parties.

Belly Dance Duo

Princess Jasmina & Chris are currently Melbourne's highly requested bellydance duo. Their show caters for live floorshows at big receptions, coorporate functions, celebrations and parties. Both belly dancers complement each others' skills with years of experience behind them. The female and male duo is a much requested combination to please all onlookers.

Their dance is high-charged with loads of fun and excitement, skill, and audience interaction. Their presentation and services are very professional and respectable. Both dancers are dressed in colourful belly dance costumes and animated with varying props listed above.
